Lasting Memories a "New Beginning" with Daisies

This is our last challenge with the theme Anything Goes   "New Beginnings"

I decided to do a layout with my oldest granddaughter Katie in her new
Daisy uniform for Girl Scouts.  The paper I had in my stash and I found the little girl graphic and title online.  The daisy cutout and ladybug was something I had made for a card exchange.  I had kept the extras and this was perfect for the page.  Plus we call her Katiebug.
The pictures are of her vest that I was able to go get with her and sew on her badges.
Her guide book and her badges she won for the pumpkin carving contest.

I hope you will check out what the other designers have created and join in
with us at Lasting Memroies.

So many books so little time

I belong to the most amazing book club.  We get so immersed in the books,  We dress up for meetings,  Eat food from the countries in the story and play games and have little gifts.  In December we read Little Women and we were asked to each bring a present that was hand made by us.

It was so much fun seeing all the handmade goodies from all the wonderfully talented ladies.
There were knitted and crocheted things, homemade jams and bread, quilted baby blanket, and all sorts of other things.  For my handmade project I modpodged a black frame with old book pages and then cut out this cute little girl and quote from Silhouette America.  I cut it from paper and then modpodged it to the board.

QT Patootie Mermaid card from Paper Crafting World

The minute I saw this cute little mermaid from Paper Crafting World I knew I had to maker her for my granddaughter's birthday.  She loves mermaids and even says she is one part of the time.
The file I used is a Digital Printable but it is also available as a cut file.
I cut her out and inked the edges with blue ink.
She is pop dotted
I love the cute graphics and bright colors.
I used some old old paper and ribbon I had in my stash and then I typed out the words I wanted for the inside sentiment.
I added some cute little gems I got at the Michaels section.

Check out all the great projects on the blog as well as the great files at Paper Crafting World.

My heart is wherever you are

This is the last present I wanted to share that I created for my
dear friend Beth for Christmas this year.
Beth and her family live in Californian where the youngest son is in High School.
This year she has two kids off to college.
Her oldest son is in Texas and her daughter is at graduate school at Harvard this year.
Right now her husband works in California but he also is an officer in the Naval Reserves.
His new duty station is in Hawaii.
Since they are all over and  travelig back and forth I got this idea to make this sign.
I used a title and states with hearts cut out from Silhouette America.
The sign is a metal one with a chalkboard finish I collected on sale sometime..
It was perfect for this project.
I told her when her other son goes to college we will peel a heart and add his state.  LOL
Needless to say she was thrilled.

Disney Christmas presents

I made for my daughter and son in law for Christmas.  We go to Disneyland usually around once a month and they have their entire staircase full of Disney memorabilia and pins.
I used a file from a Silhouette Disney group and then added Pin collectin to it as we love to do that.  They were so excited.

I also completed these two Malaeficent cups with vinyl.
One is for me and one for my daughter as we both love Maleficent.

I lucked out and had just enough green to create these so guess I need to get busy
and order some more.
It's always fun to create items that are personal for your family and friends.

Card exchange Valentines

Every other month I meet with a group of ladies and we crop and exchange cards.  This month I made valentine cards from some vintage prints I had.
It's really fun seeing what everyone makes and having lots of cards on hand.

Lasting Memories challenge- New Beginnings (First Day of School)

Here it is Sunday and time for another challenge at Lasting Memories.  We are still on the Theme New Beginnings. This week the focus is a New Life Event such as Marriage, Birth, Moving, New Job, New School, house, etc.
For my layout I used pics from the fist day of school when my 2nd granddaughter Kenzie started Transitional Kindergarten.  The hands, letters and title were cut from Silhouette America.  The paper was from my stash and the ribbon I believe from Michaels.
Check out the layouts the other designers at Lasting Memories created and join us this month for the challenges.
Happy Craftin!
